West Ham are set to take inspiration from how Tottenham Hotspur handled interest in star man Harry Kane last summer after Declan Rice was linked with a move away from the club.
The England international has been widely linked with a return to Chelsea, after he was let go by the Blues following his progression through the club's academy. But the midfielder may find it difficult to secure a move away from the London Stadium – with the Hammers ready to dig in and stick to their valuation of the player.
It comes as Jorginho has spoken about teammate Antonio Rudiger's pending departure. And Chelsea's potential line-up next season has been revealed.
Here are Mirror Football's latest Chelsea headlines.

Chelsea's post-takeover line-up
Chelsea's starting XI could look rather different next season with the club set for a number of major exits this summer.
With the club's takeover set to go through before the summer transfer window opens, it is expected that the Blues will be active in the market although it appears the new owners will come in too late to keep hold of Antonio Rudiger. That means defensive reinforcements could come in, with the likes of Jules Kounde and Wesley Fofana being linked.
A new midfielder may also come in with the Blues interested in West Ham's Declan Rice and Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni. And Romelu Lukaku could also bring his disappointing return to Stamford Bridge to a premature end, with a return to Italy said to be on the cards – meaning changes to the attacking line may also be needed.
Jorginho on Rudiger transfer
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has admitted the club will "miss" Antonio Rudiger when he leaves the club this summer.
The German centre-back's contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season, with manager Thomas Tuchel confirming the player has already told him in "private talks" of his plan to leave. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and could finalise the move in the coming days.
And Blues teammate Jorginho has insisted everyone at the club will miss Rudiger's "craziness" if he does leave.
West Ham's stance on selling Rice
West Ham are ready to dig their heels in and play tough should Chelsea decide to swoop for Declan Rice this summer.
The midfielder just turned down a third offer of a new contract that would have been worth £200,000 per week from the Hammers, but that won't change the club's determination to keep hold of their star man. The club insist they will not consider any offers below £150m for the 23-year-old in the hope it puts potential suitors off of making a move for him.
The tactics are thought to have taken inspiration from Spurs' handling of Manchester City's interest in Harry Kane last summer – and the club believe Rice will stay committed if he does remain with them for next season.
