Chelsea could pounce on Arsenal transfer mistake
Despite having Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signed and Christopher Nkunku's acquisition in the pipeline after a pre-contractual agreement, it seems as though owner Todd Boehly is still lining up potential alternatives.
Nkunku's verbal agreement is there but nothing is done until it's announced. The technical director appointment of Christopher Vivell should push this deal for the 24-year-old over the line but in football, anything can happen.
With this in mind, according to Italian reports via Sport Witness, Chelsea have registered an interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic who has had a mixed start to life in Turin.
However, the Old Lady's stance currently is that he's not for sale. Whether that changes or not remains a question that will be answered throughout 2022/23.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes 'strange' Thomas Tuchel Chelsea comment ahead of Wolves
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has once again reflected on the 'strange' situation surrounding Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea sacking.
Chelsea's new number 9, who opened up recently on the so-called 'curse', only played one game under his good pal in Tuchel and despite admitting he wasn't surprised at the decision due to the nature of the footballing world, he did open up on the 'strange' feeling of seeing a trusted ally leave prematurely and most importantly, unexpectedly in the eyes of the £11million man.
He told BBC Sport: "Yes, It definitely is a bit strange but now I'm a long-time in the business, so I know how football works.
"This can be part of football. Obviously, I find it a bit strange, I'm a human so it is what it is but now we focus on getting to the top and I think this is the main target now.

Wolves star makes Chelsea Premier League prediction amid Diego Costa debut and Lopetegui rumours
Who would have predicted Wolves' demise in the early parts of the 2022/23 Premier League season?
Now the previous manager Bruno Lage was unlucky in the fact that new signing Sasa Kaladjzic ruptured his ACL in events which were far from ideal but goalscoring was a problem that carried into this term from last season. Diego Costa has been brought in as a free agent to try and help sort this issue out.
Whilst the former Premier League title-winning striker is getting settled into English football once more on his return, those higher up in the club decided it was time to see if a new manager could get something new out of an exciting group that went stale under Lage's watch.
“It’s very sad because it means that us as players didn’t make a good job because we haven’t been playing in a good way," attacker Daniel Podence told in-house media ahead of this game week 9 clash this weekend. "We are not winning points, we are not winning games, so it’s not all about the boss, it’s about us as well. But of course, when a boss doesn’t have the right results, it’s easy to blame him.
