Chelsea news: Thomas Tuchel and Kai Havertz agree after win while John Terry hits back

Chelsea stormed to a 4-0 win at Burnley on Saturday afternoon as they continue to put last weekend's defeat in the Carabao Cup final behind them.

The west London club booked their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup on Wednesday and strengthened their hold on third spot in the Premier League with victory at Turf Moor.

Thomas Tuchel and Kai Havertz claimed that Chelsea showed their character in bouncing back from their cup final heartache to win their following two fixtures.

However, their triumph at Turf Moor was somewhat over shadowed by sections of the away fans chanting Roman Abramovich's name during the pre-match show of support for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, John Terry, who's recent tweet praising the Chelsea owner drew criticism has hit back at Labour MP Chris Bryant.

Here are Mirror Football's latest Chelsea headlines.

Havertz and Tuchel agree after thumping win

The Blues bounced back from last weekend's League Cup heartbreak and put an unconvincing FA Cup win at Luton behind them.

The two sides played out a cagey opening 45 minutes that actually saw Sean Dyche’s men boast the better of the chances, only for wasteful finishing to keep the scores level.

But following the restart, three Chelsea goals inside 10 minutes put the game beyond any doubt, as Reece James’ opener was quickly met with a three-minute brace from Havertz.

Christian Pulisic was gifted a fourth just under 15 minutes later when James Tarkowski's attempted interception fell kindly into the path of the United States international who lashed home with just Nick Pope to beat.

Terry hits back at Labour MP

John Terry has snapped back at Labour MP Chris Bryant after he called for the former Chelsea captain to take down a tweet praising outgoing owner Roman Abramovich.

Terry, who became Chelsea’s most successful captain during the Russian’s reign, labelled Abramovich “the best” with a picture of the pair holding one of the five Premier League trophies they lifted together.

He also sent a message in tribute to the 55-year-old saying: “Thank you Roman. The best owner in the world.”

Bryant has been a vocal critic of Abramovich and has called on the UK government to impose sanctions on him due to his relationship with Vladimir Putin.

Show of support for Ukraine overshadowed

Sections of Chelsea’s support interrupted a pre-match showing of solidarity with the people of Ukraine to chant the name of Abramovich on Saturday.

It comes at the end of a tumultuous week in which Abramovich announced that he is looking to sell the Blues after 19-years of ownership.

Abramovich stepped back from his duties as owner after his nation’s invasion of Ukraine brought his relationship with Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, into the spotlight.
