Raphinha alternatives identified
Chelsea face the prospect of having to find an alternative transfer target to Raphinha with the Leeds United winger set on a move to Barcelona.
While Raheem Sterling is due to arrive to add quality to Thomas Tuchel's left-wing, it appears the Blues boss wants to add a new option on the right-wing as well. And a number of players could be available to fill the role as Tuchel has been handed a list of alternative players he could look at.
West Ham's Jarrod Bowen, ex-Arsenal star Serge Gnabry, Ajax's Antony and Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi could all be available – and would also bring in what Tuchel is looking to add to his attack.
Tuchel gives Cristiano Ronaldo answer
Thomas Tuchel gave a cryptic answer to a Chelsea fan who asked if the club are about to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Manchester United forward has asked to leave his current club in order to play in next season's Champions League, with Blues owner Todd Boehly understood to have discussed the superstar during a recent meeting with his agent Jorge Mendes. And after being asked about the Portugal international, Tuchel laughed and insisted he would "not tell" if the club are pursuing a move for Ronaldo.
It leaves the door at least slightly open for Ronaldo to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, although United are keen to keep hold of him.
Terry opens up on role
John Terry has opened up on his role with Chelsea after revealing he has decided against making the step into management.
The former Blues captain admits that he previously had planned to one day manage, but has now turned down the opportunity to do so three times. He's now a coaching consultant for the Blues, helping develop some of the club's young players.
And he says he's "loving" the role and has come to the "personal decision" not to become a manager.
