Bidders forced to commit
The remaining groups hoping to purchase Chelse have been forced to commit to the club for at least 10 years.
Raine Group, the merchant bank overseeing the club's sale, have said that any majority shareholder from the preferred bid will retain ownership until at least 2032 to protect the club from further upheaval. The agreement is expected to become a legally binding condition as part of the club's sale.
The sale is now expected to be finalised before May 31, the date the government's special operating licence expires.
Rudiger's Ancelotti hint
Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has already dropped a hint that he wants to link-up with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Blues defender is set to leave Stamford Bridge when his contract expires this summer, with Real Madrid said to be interested in acquiring his services. And Rudiger previously spoke about his admiration for Ancelotti and how well he organises his sides.
Ahead of Chelsea's match with Everton last season, the German told chelseafc.com: "I will expect exactly the same sort of intensive game again because Everton are also a good team. They are on a good run at the moment and are in good form, but we are too. It will be an exciting game and we are up for it. It's a tough game and they are also a competitor for the top four."
