James Corden's role in Frank Lampard's return explained
The Sun claim that TV star James Corden was consulted by Todd Boehly prior to the reappointment of club legend Frank Lampard on a temporary basis.
Having hosted The Late Late Show with James Corden between 2015 and 2023, the Gavin and Stacey creator is thought to have grown close with Boehly during his time in the United States and gave the go-ahead for Lampard to complete an incredible return when questioned by the Chelsea owner.

He was also spotted in the Stamford Bridge Executive Box during Chelsea's Premier League win over Wolves in October.
Corden and Lampard, meanwhile, are friends, with the pair having starred on A League of Their Own together where the ex-England midfielder’s cousin Jamie Redknapp is a team captain.
Conor Gallagher makes honest assessment
Conor Gallagher has admitted Chelsea's squad are "angry" after the Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in Frank Lampard's first game back in charge of the club.
Gallagher pulled no punches in his assessment of the performance, telling Chelsea's official website: "We can’t have too many complaints. It was a disappointing game.
"We had confidence, we were up for it and excited for the game, but we’re disappointed and angry because we want it so bad.
"We want to win games for the club, for the fans. It’s just not clicking at the minute.
Mykhailo Mudryk makes major lifestyle change
Mykhailo Mudryk has endured a difficult start to life at Chelsea following his move from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal thought to be worth more than £80 million.
The Ukranian has scored no goals and has registered just one assist in 10 Chelsea appearances across all competitions.
However, The Sun suggest that his struggles are related to off-field problems. According to their report , Mudryk has felt alone in London since moving to the UK.
In a bid to help him settle, it is believed that Mudryk will move his family across to London.
Premier League set to make massive broadcasting decision
The Premier League are open to the idea of ditching the likes of Sky Sports and BT Sport to broadcast matches on their own platform, as per the Mirror.
Sky have showcased matches since the league's inception back in 1992 but it is now claimed that there will likely be one more multi partner deal before the Premier League decide to run the show on their own. BT Sport and Amazon Prime also broadcast matches, with DAZN, Disney+ and Apple all said to be keen to enter the football broadcasting fray as well.
The Premier League’s current three-year deal with Sky and BT is set to expire in 2025, selling domestic rights for 2022-2025 for $6.3billion (£5.12billion.) However, prices have undoubtedly become a problem, with the average fan having to fork out around £700 a year to have access to every game in the English top flight, according to Bloomberg.
Chief executive of the Football Supporters Association Kevin Miles admitted that fans are beginning to feel the financial strain of paying for these platforms more and more. "There’s no question that supporters are increasingly feeling the financial strain," he said.
