Potter rethinks January deal
Graham Potter may have to rekindle a short-lived relationship as early as January in order to get the best out of the transfer window.
Having signed Billy Gilmour and Levi Colwill at Brighton this summer, Potter could be working with the latter sooner than expected. Although the new Blues boss handed the 19-year-old his Premier League debut he is yet to start a game and has played less than half an hour of league minutes this season.
With Roberto De Zerbi now in charge at the Amex stadium, Colwill faces a challenge to assert himself under new management and convince the boss that a loan player deserves priority. If this can't be sorted then Potter reportedly has plenty of suitors in Italy that would be willing to take Colwill on for half a season, should it come to that.

Pickford to Chelsea?
With Edouard Mendy injured, Potter's tough goalkeeping call was made a bit easier, for now at least.
The manager is yet to have the Senegal international available for selection and will have to decide if he is going to remain as the first-choice keeper at Stamford Bridge. With Potter favouring a ball-playing stopper and Mendy not yet yielding to early contract offers, it is reportedly a position that Todd Boehly is looking to invest in.
Kepa wanted to leave over the summer and Mendy is currently in the middle of his worst Chelsea form, neither are recipes for long-term success and Potter will have to analyse the goalkeeping department quickly in order to find an answer. In an unlikely turn, that answer may well be in the form of Jordan Pickford.
James tweets cryptic dig to Zaha
Reece James has sent Wilfried Zaha a cryptic dig following Chelsea's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace. The 22-year-old defender, who was up against the Ivorian for much of the clash, played a pivotal role in Graham Potter picking up his first win as Blues boss.
The Cobham graduate suppressed the winger so much so that Patrick Vieira decided to switch Zaha to right-wing in order to escape James' grasp. But, even after running from the England international, he found little to no joy when up against Ben Chilwell.
And, after the bout, James took to Twitter with a customary post-match tweet. The Chelsea defender posted an image of himself fending off Zaha and captioned it with a padlock emoji, playing up to the discussion and widespread memes shared among fans on social media.
