Chelsea news: Fresh talks for Jules Kounde as Thomas Tuchel set for £30m transfer boost

Chelsea set for fresh talks with Sevilla over Jules Kounde

Reports from the Spain, as per The Mirror, suggest Chelsea remain ahead of Barcelona to sign Kounde.

Xavi has attempted to persuade the France international to have a change in heart and join Barca this summer, but the 23-year-old is said to have verbally agreed a move to Stamford Bridge. Kounde has been a long-term target and looks set to be on course for a move to the Blues.

Chelsea and Sevilla are set for fresh talks in the coming days in the hope that all parties can find an agreement for a deal to be completed. The La Liga outfit need funds to reinvest into their squad and Kounde is seen as the ideal departure for that to happen.

Armando Broja exit 'close'

Armando Broja is on his way back to England from Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States of America as a move to West Ham edges closer.

The Hammers were initially pursuing a loan deal for the Albanian striker, but now look set to sign Broja on a permanent deal with a £30million fee being discussed between the clubs. The 20-year-old is under contract with the Blues until 2026 but wants his future settled permanently this summer, refusing to go out on-loan for another season after a successful spell with Southampton last term.

football.london understands that the west Londoners are reluctant to sell Broja permanently and but are happy to discuss potential loan deals.

Kepa Arrizabalaga interest

football.london understands there is interest in Kepa from Italy with Napoli now having enquired for the 27-year-old's services next season.

The Spaniard was signed by the Blues back in 2018 for a world record fee of £72million but has struggled to nail down the no.1 spot at Stamford Bridge.

This could see Kepa look for a new challenge this summer as he reaches his peak years. The 27-year-old is attracting interest from Serie A with Napoli having enquired about taking the Spaniard on a season-long loan deal, as per MailOnline.
