Aymeric Laporte deal rejected
Chelsea have had a move for Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte turned down, according to the Evening Standard. The proposal came as the Blues discussed deals for Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake.
The 28-year-old is now said to be keen on a stay at the Etihad, despite links with an exit last year.

Cristiano Ronaldo boost
Chelsea are still in the race to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to reports. The Portuguese forward appears set to leave Manchester United in the transfer window, making a request to move on should an appropriate offer be received.
Ronaldo has also been left out of the United pre-season squad for their tour of Thailand, citing personal and family-related reasons. It comes after Blues owner Todd Boehly held talks with agent Jorge Mendes about the possibility of the 37-year-old moving to the west London outfit.
Raheem Sterling contract issue
Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea deal could have consequences throughout the squad. Reports have suggested that the England international will be earning roughly £ 300,000 a week with the Blues.
The move could spark discussions surrounding other deals at the club as contract talks begin.
