Hakim Ziyech looked nice for Morocco in their 2-0 win over Germany; Christian Pulisic was lively for USA against England; Raheem Sterling scored last week for the Three Lions against Iran; Mason Mount looked at his best in midfield.
For Chelsea, Graham Potter has struggled to get many of them firing. Ziyech is the forgotten man and rarely gets an outing, Pulisic is looking for a move away and is firmly in the shop window category. Sterling hasn't scored a league goal since September and Mount has only scored in one game all season.
These aren't all problems that come down to Potter's management but they are things he will need to fix. Watching the World Cup from back in Hove will be a chance for him to take some notes and see what his players do when away from Stamford Bridge for a prolonged period of time.
