Bashir Humphreys has been included in the travelling Chelsea squad for tomorrow night's Carabao Cup third-round clash against Manchester City, football.london understands.
Graham Potter is expected to rotate his side for tomorrow night's game at the Etihad Stadium. That is partly out of necessity, with Chelsea having to contend with a number of injuries. Goalkeeper Kepa is currently suffering from plantar fasciitis, while Reece James and Wesley Fofana are long-term absentees due to knee issues.
Ben Chilwell is sidelined after injuring his hamstring against Dinamo Zagreb last Wednesday. N'Golo Kante has played just twice all season and isn't expected to return until February after undergoing hamstring surgery last month. And Carney Chukwuemeka is also absent with a hamstring problem.

Potter also revealed in his pre-match press conference that Jorginho is a doubt, having sustained a foot injury against Arsenal. There is an expectation too that Thiago Silva will be rested with an important Premier League match against Newcastle United to come on Saturday.
Given the number of absentees, Potter has inevitably turned to players from Chelsea's Development Squad and confirmed this afternoon that midfielder Lewis Hall, who made his debut last season against Chesterfield, and winger Omari Hutchinson are in the group that is travelling up to Manchester this afternoon.
"He's [Hutchinson] in the squad, Lewis Hall is in the squad," Potter said: "They've impressed, They've been training with us for a while now, and we've got some good quality young players we just need to nurture and take the right steps with. They will be in the squad and involved."
football.london has been told that Humphreys is also in the travelling party, although it's not yet clear if he'll be in the matchday squad for the game. The centre-back joined the Blues as an under-15 from Reading and has captained the Development Squad on several occasions over the past two seasons.
