Chelsea manager news: Mykhailo Mudryk hints at his favourite for next boss after reunion

Mykhailo Mudryk has sent a touching message to Roberto De Zerbi in a potential hint at his preference in Chelsea’s new manager search.

The Italian coach continues to impress at Brighton, the same club that Chelsea have readily plucked talent from over the past year under Boehly-Clearlake.

On Wednesday, Mudryk posted a picture to his Instagram stories of his embrace with De Zerbi after the Seagulls’ recent win at Stamford Bridge.

“Nice to meet you again,” wrote the young winger, along with a heart emoji.

It is little surprise to see Mudryk speaking highly of De Zerbi, who managed him at Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk last season.

The Brighton boss is not thought to be on Chelsea’s shortlist of candidates to succeed Graham Potter, with De Zerbi himself also not looking to move as Standard Sport recently reported.

Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique and Ruben Amorim have all discussed the vacant position with the Blues as they look to take a considered approach to installing their next manager.
