Chelsea have sent another message to their fans after freezing season ticket prices for the 2023/24 season. It is a piece of positivity for supporters left disappointed about a staggeringly poor campaign and worries of an added hike in fees.
However, a statement released by the club put this to ease and admitted that the year has not been according to plan of owners Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital. "This season has not produced the results that any of us want," the club wrote.
"We know what we are working towards, but equally we know that will require hard work, determination and commitment. We all want to see Chelsea back where we belong and to share many more winning moments together at Stamford Bridge."

It also added: "The club needs to grow all our revenue streams – including matchday – to ensure we operate on a sustainable basis. We will take some time next season to review our overall ticketing strategy and approach, consulting with our Fan Advisory Board and other key stakeholders to ensure supporters’ voices are heard as we look to the future.
"This will include looking at the number of different price points across the stadium to ensure all our seats reflect their value and demand, alongside a review of the current approach to concessions."
This was met with warm appreciation from the Chelsea Supporters' Trust (CST) and a further statement to fans that renewed their season tickets continued to take accountability and responsibility for a historically bad run of results seen.
Chelsea have sacked two managers since May 2022 and are currently searching for their third permanent head coach under the new regime. They have fallen out of the Champions League and also top four spots, too. Despite this, the latest message comes with optimism heading forward.
"Next season promises to be an exciting one as our Board continue to invest in the future - shaping a new era for Chelsea," it reads. "Throughout this season we have made progress, welcoming new signings to the club and announcing our Fan Advisory Board, ensuring you have more opportunities to make your voice hard.
"However, there is work to do. We're not satisfied with our results on the pitch and know they fall short of your expectations. We look ahead to next season with an unwavering commitment on creating a winning team, both on and off the pitch."
Chelsea have spent over £600m ($654.4m) on new players under the Boehly-Clearlake axis but have seen no improvement on the pitch despite chopping and changing along the way. It has brought widescale criticism to the door of the American-based owners, though the young squad and potential appointment of Mauricio Pochettino do give reason for cautious optimism.
