Chelsea face competition from Liverpool in the race for 18-year-old MLS wonderkid Jhon Duran according to The Sun.
Colombian attacker Duran has recently broken through into his country's national team having impressed for Chicago Fire this season where he has registered eight goals and three assists.
Chelsea recently added Fire shot-stopper Gabriel Slonina to their ranks this summer, with the American returning to his former club on loan. To seal a deal for Duran, it is thought the Blues will have to fight off competition from Jurgen Klopp's side in addition to teams in Spain and Germany.

Duran currently operates on the right side for Chicago, meaning he would line up on the opposite flank as compatriot Luiz Diaz at Anfield.
It is thought that any deal for the attacker would be worth around £10million plus extras and there would likely be no work permit problems with Duran winning his first international cap last week.
Any potential deal for Duran would compliment the youth-focused transfer strategy that Todd Boehly is determined to integrate at Stamford Bridge.
The likes of Slonina, Omari Hutchinson, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei will all harbour hopes of making a first-team breakthrough at Chelsea having arrived in West London this summer.
