Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf offers honest advice to Frank Lampard after latest humiliating loss

Frank Leboeuf has advised Frank Lampard to leave Chelsea immediately following Blues' defeat to Brentford on Wednesday night. The 44-year-old has suffered a miserable return to Stamford Bridge, with the Bees extending the club's winless streak to eight games.

Lampard has now lost each of his five games since replacing Graham Potter, with the Blues scoring just once in the process. With the Blues slipping down the Premier League table, Leboeuf has warned the interim Chelsea boss he 'might not win a game until the end of the season' and that relegation is a genuine possibility.

Speaking on ESPN, the former Blues defender said: "We've said it all you know. There is nothing I can say. Maybe to Frank Lampard - get out! Get out quickly. There is nothing you can do.

"They need a win. One win. Three points to make sure they are not going to be relegated.

"It's normal to concede goals. That one [Cesar Azpilicueta] is an own goal, OK that can happen but a little bit of nobody getting responsibility for going for the header. But after that second one they get the ball and Wesley Fofana - what are you doing? Go there quicker.

"And Thiago Silva is so wide away from Fofana. Nothing works properly and I never thought I was the best defender in the world. But at least I can see that."

Speaking to the press after Chelsea's defeat to Thomas Frank's side, Lampard explained the magnitude of the task at hand. He said: "I'm not concerned about what people outside think because I don't think they ever understand the conditions of what you're working with. There's an understanding of where we're at as a club.

"Two of those games against Real Madrid and clearly when I came in, I'm here for a reason, the results weren't what they want. The challenge, I didn't have a bar what the challenge was going to be.

"I understood there would be challenges behind the scenes because of where we are. That's been clear to me coming in. In a short time frame, it's really hard at this stage of the season to get that turn, you just have to keep working for it and we haven't got it yet.

"I'm not concerned, I took it on knowing the jeopardy of what it might be."
