Chelsea are now in talks with PSV Eindhoven over a deal to sign winger Noni Madueke this month, football.london understands.
As reported earlier this week, the Blues are interested in signing the 20-year-old as Graham Potter looks to bolster his attacking options for the remainder of the season. Madueke, who left Tottenham in 2018 to sign for PSV, has impressed ever since making the brave switch to the Netherlands and despite an injury-ridden campaign, his stock around Europe continues to rise.
PSV are adamant they do not want to sell Madueke this month after selling Cody Gakpo to Liverpool, but Chelsea believe the Dutch club would sell for around €45million (£40m). The Blues are now in talks with PSV over a potential deal which could see a fifth player arrive at Stamford Bridge this month – with the club's new technical director Christopher Vivell pushing for the move, football.london has been told.
