Chelsea in stunning Christian Pulisic transfer swap claims for Arsenal target

Christian Pulisic could be set to leave Chelsea this summer and secure a move to Italy. The USMNT star has been linked with a departure from Stamford Bridge throughout the season after struggling to become a regular in the Blues' side.

The winger has made 26 appearances this season - starting only nine games - and has regularly been tipped to move elsewhere. Speculation surrounding his future intensified in the January transfer window following the arrivals of Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Joao Felix.

With no offer of a new deal coming it is likely that Pulisic's future will lie elsewhere. The United States forward's contract in West London expires next summer meaning Chelsea must decide whether to sell the forward or face losing him on a free transfer.

Now, reports from Italy have claimed Todd Boehly is preparing to offer Pulisic as part of the deal to bring Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic to west London.. The Serbian has been linked with a move away from Turin due to Juve's financial difficulties despite only joining the club 15 months ago, with Arsenal reportedly keen on his services having wanted to sign him last year.

According to Juve Live, Chelsea are likely to propose a part-exchange agreement for Vlahovic rather than paying the supposed £61-70 million for the 23-year-old that Juventus will demand. The report from Italy claims Boehly would prefer to offer £44m plus Pulisic.

Chelsea are desperate for a striker to lead the line next season after struggling for goals this campaign. Kai Havertz has often been used as a striker this campaign but the Germany international has faced criticism for his performances.

With a large squad on the books at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea face a summer of mass exodus of players after Boehly's spending in the past year. Pulisic is said to be one of the players deemed surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave at the end of the season.

The next permanent boss in SW6 will play a key role in Pulisic's future. However, the USMNT star has struggled to become a regular under a number of managers since his move to the Premier League and could seek a different opportunity.
