Welcome to the football.london transfer briefing. To help you keep on top of all things Chelsea going on in the market we've got the latest noises coming from social media, journalists and so-called ITKs, rounding up what's what in the world of the Blues.
Pochettino pushing for new goalkeeper
Mauricio Pochettino is personally a fan of Aston Villa goalkeeper and wants to bring him to Chelsea this summer, according to Football Transfers. The player left Arsenal in search of first team football elsewhere when he moved to Villa Park in 2020 and hasn't looked back since.
In December he became a World Cup winner, impressing fans not only with his goalkeeping heroics but also his comedic character and outlandish personality. Martinez was constantly in the forefront of the tournament's headlines and has become a potential option for Chelsea and Manchester United.
football.london says: This seems to go against the wider understanding that Chelsea and Pochettino are set to give Kepa Arrizabalaga the chance to remain as number one this summer. After his impressive performances last season the 28-year-old is still seen as a potential starting player under Pochettino.
Martinez, however, has been on Chelsea's radar for a while and at 30, does make sense as a player that could not only compete with Kepa for the gloves but also offer an improvement on the current choices. He has been one of the best 'keepers in the league for three years now and would also add much needed experience to the squad.
Having been sold for just £17million ($21.6m), if Chelsea could get Martinez for anywhere near that price it would prove to be a massive bargain but his long-term contract, only signed in January, puts immediate doubt to that. What this would do is massively frustrate Gunners fans, though, who have consistently seen Chelsea get the better of transfers involving players to play for both clubs.

Moises Caicedo advance
Chelsea are in the final stages of negotiations with Brighton over the signing of Moises Caicedo according to Rudy Galetti. The 21-year-old is expected to leave Brighton this summer and has a massive valuation of over £100million ($124m) but it is said a cheeky offer of closer to £75million ($95.3m) has been made.
The clubs are now reportedly discussing add-ons to the deal. Chelsea have moved into the clear to sign Caicedo after Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City all appear to have found their midfield answers already this window.
football.london says: Chelsea are extremely keen to sign Caicedo, that is no secret, but there aren't very often easy negotiations with Tony Bloom and his team when it comes to the best players on the south coast.
Chelsea have already found this out when they explored a deal for Marc Cucurella last summer as well as their bids sent Caicedo's way in January. The Seagulls have their value for the Ecuadorian and aren't going to let him move on the cheap. However, there is no benefit to keeping a player that wants to leave.
Caicedo is thought to be angling towards a transfer to west London himself now and if it is between accepting an offer slightly lower than the value or holding onto a player that wishes to be elsewhere, Chelsea could exploit Brighton's position with this cheap low-ball offer.
