Chelsea seem set to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig in the summer. Official confirmation of a deal is yet to be announced, but it appears to be a matter of time before that is the case.
The France international has a release clause in his current contract, but Todd Boehly is believed to have used a negotiation technique that will see the Blues pay over that to sign him on favourable terms. There will be hopes that Nkunku will help solve the current goal scoring woes faced by the west London outfit.
In the mean time though, he will be seeing out the rest of the season with RB Leipzig, where he has teamed up often with former Chelsea man Timo Werner. The German forward has already warned his teammate about the level in the Premier League, telling SportBILD: "Everyone has to make their own experiences, I had a very good first year, the second was so-so.

“I can tell him about positive and negative experiences should he change. At a club like this, you don’t play like you do at RB Leipzig because there’s more competition – not just on a sporting level, but also on a different level, mentally."
One of the other problems surrounding a move will be his recent injury record, having been out of action several times this season and even missing the World Cup with runners-up France. These issues flared up again just ahead of the Champions League tie with Manchester City on Wednesday.
A statement from Leipzig reads: "Christopher Nkunku only completed parts of the final training session ahead of RB Leipzig vs Manchester City after feeling a muscle issue. Staff will observe how things develop over the next 24 hours."
His recent issues echo that of Chelsea star N'Golo Kante, who has been plagued with his own absences in recent seasons and while his quality is clear, the lack of playing time isn't useful. It leaves questions over whether there should be any doubts on the move or if the side can risk having a key player that is often injured.
