Chelsea handed £55m transfer template that secures Thomas Tuchel perfect Eden Hazard replacement

Marina Granovskaia has been handed a £55m guide on how to navigate the January transfer market following Liverpool's late double swoop.

Anfield could be home to two former Chelsea targets once the winter window slams shut this evening, bolstering Jurgen Klopp's strike force beyond comparison to Thomas Tuchel's.

Liverpool have already confirmed Luis Diaz's signing from Porto in a deal worth around just £50m, including add-ons.

Meanwhile, the Reds now look set to welcome former Blues target Fabio Carvalho to Merseyside as well, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 19-year-old, who is subject to a reported £5m bid from Liverpool, courted interest from both Chelsea and Real Madrid earlier in the season.

Carvalho has enjoyed a blossoming breakthrough under Marco Silva in the Championship, having contributed towards seven goals and four assists in 18 Championship clashes.

The England youth international sees his current contract at Craven Cottage expire at the end of the season, making him available for a cut-price deal, leaving Chelsea to rue yet another bargain that Liverpool have snatched from their grasp.

In November, while Roman Abramovich had ignited rumours that the west Londoners' looked to lure Eden Hazard back to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea had joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Carvalho, according to Eurosport.

The two European titans locked horns in a bid to secure their own Hazard replacements, but for contrasting reasons, the Belgian had fallen out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti following a series of minor injuries. Meanwhile, Tuchel's side was yet to have plugged the void left behind by Hazard.

However, Liverpool has since swooped in beneath their noses and seamlessly found their next Phillipe Coutinho - Carvalho - while also juggling the arrival of their next Sadio Mane - Diaz - too.

Despite having been in the running for both the Colombian winger, as per Diaz's agent via Radio Renascenca and Fulham's wonderkid, Chelsea has failed to put up a serious fight for either, teaching the Blues a lesson ahead of deadline day.

Should Abramovich and Granovskaia look to fuel Tuchel's charge for a serious title Champions League title defence, then the Chelsea board must learn from their mistakes and look to seal the arrival of Ousmane Dembele without any qualms.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Blues are considering making a fresh approach for the 24-year-old winger in the final hours of the market to increase the attacking potency of their frontline.

Dembele's contract with the Catalan side expires in the summer, and Barcelona is hoping that the Frenchman can secure a move away from the club ahead of this evening's 23:00 GMT deadline.
