Chelsea fans were pleased to see Belgium struggle as they went down 2-0 to Morocco in the second group game at the World Cup.
Roberto Martinez's team were already under a bit of pressure having largely underperformed against Canada, and the defeat leaves them with a vital match against Croatia left on the final matchday with Group F wide open.
Belgium hold lots of interest for Blues fans. Not only does ex-star Eden Hazard captain them, current loanee Romelu Lukaku is in the squad, as is former striker Michy Batshuayi, former goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and transfer target Leandro Trossard.

Chelsea aren't particularly connected to any of those players. There is doubt over Trossard's suitability to the club whilst Batshuayi has been a serial loanee for years since winning the title in 2017. Courtois left in controversial circumstances and made no friends doing it, Kevin De Bruyne is one they'd much rather forget than bring up.
Qatar 2022 is the last time most of the so-called 'golden generation' will be playing together for the national team though and Hakim Ziyech's Morocco did their credentials a serious blow, storming to the top of the table having not conceded in the opening two rounds.
As Ziyech caught Courtois out with a first half free kick that was ruled out with an offside in the process, the Real Madrid No.1 was beaten in similar style by Abdelhamid Sabiri with 15 minutes left. Zakaria Aboukhlal rounded the game off in injury time.
Chelsea fans didn't spare their former players - and current one if you count Lukaku, which many don't. Here's the reaction to the result on social media:
@iki22urm: Who's courtois bro I've never heard of him
@SMarty121212: Courtois had a game against Canada reminiscent of his Chelsea days. Today, he whiffed on two. Luckily for him one didn’t count. He wasn’t near his form.
@wheezy_khiddy: Pulisic dominated on a team with Kane, Bellingham, Sterling, Rice, Trippier, and Saka 3 days ago. Ziyech just tore down Belgium with superstars including De Bruyne, Hazard, Courtois, Trossard, and Lukaku among many others. Chelsea might be the problem then...
@NateIsABlueCf: I ain’t gonna lie Courtois was never good to me but he had his moment last season respectfully and this is coming from a real Chelsea fan
@reqfever: As a Chelsea supporter I do enjoy seeing courtois and Lukaku get beat…I feel a little for Eden Hazard tho
@favouredByGod3: Courtois and Mendy are worst goalkeepers ever seen in Chelsea and World Cup .
@ManLikeTm: Courtois is finished. Madrid should start looking for another replacement since Chelsea advisers are wise
@FCB_Savage: Courtois shaa too much, no wonder chelsea sack him
@BiodunALAYO: Mr lukaku play game for only 2mins without touching ball but sweat like Xmas goat...for 15mins he touch ball once and no single shot attempt...thank God Chelsea loan him to his dream club..otherwise d banter will have been Chelsea make him so......lukaku.. Chelsea
@OzoisFine: With this lukaku's hideous performances, let inter Milan not ship him back to us. I can cry
@Aceybon: Can we all agree that Lukaku moving from Inter to Chelsea was the worst mistake he ever made in his club career and it has somehow affected his country.
