Chelsea have closed the door on Leeds as a possible loan destination for Mykhailo Mudryk.
Standard Sport understands Chelsea no longer consider Leeds as a viable option for Mudryk after rejecting an insufficient loan offer last week.
Talks between Chelsea and Leeds continued over the weekend but have ended with no agreement reached.
The Chelsea winger is still attracting plenty of Premier League interest ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, and his preference was Leeds.
Mudryk is available for loan having returning to the Chelsea first-team fold following a long doping ban, but a permanent exit has been ruled out.
Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg is viewed as an option for Ukrainian, along with newly promoted Coventry City, whose head coach is Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
There is also interest on the continent for Mudryk, including from Italy, but the Ukrainian favours a Premier League loan rather than move countries for the duration of the 2026-27 campaign.
Chelsea are working to ship out a number of first-team players for the window closes as they aim to shrink the size of their squad.
Crystal Palace are closing in on a season-long loan for the Blues’ centre-back Axel Disasi, who underwent a medical with Palace on Friday.
There are also a number of players available for sale, including striker Liam Delap - valued by Chelsea at £50million - and the central defender Tosin Adarabioyo. There is market interest in both players.
