Chelsea drop team news hint for Borussia Dortmund amid Reece James and Ruben Loftus-Cheek choice

Chelsea may have dropped a hint over their team news ahead of a crucial Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night. The Blues find themselves 1-0 down after the first leg of the round of 16 as Karim Adeyemi's solo effort at the Signal Iduna Park proved to be the deciding factor.

The reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge offers Graham Potter a chance for his side to respond and book their place in the final eight of the competition. On the other hand, anything other than victory could see the side knocked out and would mount further pressure on the manager.

"It’s a big game, an exciting game, a chance to go through to the last eight of the Champions League," Potter told the media ahead of the clash. "It will be a special night at Stamford Bridge, so we’re really looking forward to that. All our thoughts are on being positive, winning the game, and going through. In terms of what we learned from the previous game [against Dortmund] they are a top opponent."

One of the key points that could impact the game may be injury news in the build-up to proceedings, in particular with Reece James. The wing-back has struggled with injuries this season and is a doubt for the Dortmund game, with Potter claiming there will be late checks on his availability.

Should the England international not be available, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will likely play in his position instead, doing so against Leeds at the weekend. While time will only tell which will be starting, the Chelsea twitter may have dropped a hint over the decision with their pre-match hype graphic.

Four players feature on it, one of which being Loftus-Cheek, potentially suggesting he will be involved over James. While this could be the case, the graphics aren't always indicative of which players will be starting, so it could be a different lineup by kick-off, but it may hint at the decision early.
