Chelsea condemn homophobic chants at Stamford Bridge amid Rainbow Laces campaign

Chelsea have released a statement regarding the chants towards the club and supporters at Stamford Bridge during the 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United.

Chants from inside the stadium were heard during the clash in West London on the first day of Stonewall's 2022/23 Rainbow Laces campaign. The campaign shows support for all LGBT people in football and beyond and fixtures across the league today had Rainbow Laces pitch flags, ball plinths, handshake boards and substitution boards.

The statement on the club's official website read: "Chelsea Football Club released the below statement following today's Premier League fixture with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
