Chelsea have finalised a deal to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig ahead of the January transfer window.
Mirror Football understands Nkunku, 25, will join the Blues from July, allowing him to finish the season in Germany. The France international is enjoying a superb campaign, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists. He was ruled out of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar through injury.
Nkunku's impending move to Chelsea is another indication that chair Todd Boehly is taking a step back from the club's transfer business. The signing is set to coincide with the appointment of former Leipzig chief Christopher Vivell as their new sporting director.
