Chelsea are close to signing Joao Felix on a loan deal until the end of the season, football.london understands.
As first reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic, the Blues have a verbal agreement in place to sign the Portugal international on loan for approximately €11million. He is determined to leave Atletico Madrid, but football.london understand a deal has not been finalised just yet. There is said to be plenty of interest in Felix from elsewhere but Chelsea are now close to wrapping up the deal.
As football.london reported midway through last month, Chelsea have scouted the 23-year-old on numerous occasions this season. However, at the time, the Blues only had a tentative interest in the Portuguese forward, but it looks as if that has ramped up in recent days.
