Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo will not be making a return to Old Trafford following the conclusion of the 2022 World Cup after a termination of his contract was agreed by mutual consent.

Following an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo made numerous controversial comments regarding Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, the state of the club and many other topics.

Ronaldo is currently at the Qatar World Cup with Portugal, who begin their tournament on Thursday against Ghana, but following the conclusion of the competition, he will not be heading back to Manchester.
