Chelsea already have their Fabio Carvalho response to Liverpool and Thomas Tuchel loves it

We have spoken about the difference between Chelsea and Liverpool's recruitment in recent days and how the Merseyside club's clearer vision under Jurgen Klopp has helped them get ahead of the Blues in the market.

Fabio Carvalho from Fulham for a rumoured £5m deal on deadline day signals a look to the future at Anfield with one of the Championship's finest young talents.

But Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea already have their response to Liverpool's potential new recruit, and once again, it pinpoints how valuable Cobham is to the club's present and long-term plans, saving millions in potential transfer fees.

The place to start here is Conor Gallagher, currently impressing on loan at Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old has scored seven times in 19 appearances for Patrick Vieira's Eagles in the Premier League and appears all set to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of his second Premier League loan.

Tuchel whenever asked about Gallagher has been full of praise for the goalscoring midfielder, speaking to his mentality and commitment to getting better.

“There cannot be a coach who does not love guys like this, humble nice, always with a smile on their face, always ready to give everything, who wants to learn and improve,” Tuchel said back in November.

"Also, as a team-mate, I would have loved to play with him because he's a helper. He starts in minute one, and he finishes maybe in the shower. That's the earliest minute where he finishes running and seeing balls."

Already Gallagher's unique goalscoring quality picks him out as a talent Chelsea cannot afford to lose easily this summer, and the player himself has proven he is good enough to play in England's top tier.

His pressing and tactical intelligence traits make him a perfect fit for Tuchel's high energy system and a suitable backup for Mason Mount, one of the German's most consistent performers.

Another young midfielder coming through Chelsea's talent line is Harvey Vale, who made his senior debut at Brentford in December's Carabao Cup.

It reflects how highly Tuchel values the 18-year-old that Chelsea has rejected a loan offer from Huddersfield Town on January deadline day.

As The Athletic reported, Tuchel wants the option of using him more in the second half of the season.

Vale has a good chance to feature in Chelsea's FA Cup tie against Plymouth this Saturday at Stamford Bridge and is another technically gifted Cobham talent that has developed rapidly with the age groups of the academy and is likely on route for a loan in the summer.
