Chelsea will look to back Graham Potter with a number of new signings in the January transfer window. One of those could be Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix who has been given permission to leave Diego Simeone's side.
The Portuguese forward completed a £110million switch to Atletico from Benfica back in 2019 but now looks set to leave the Metropolitano Stadium after his relationship has worsened with Simeone. The La Liga outfit are not expecting to recoup a similar fee to what they paid for Felix but can still command a significant fee considering his contract is set to run until 2026.
The Blues have already lined up a summer transfer for RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku who is set to complete a £52million move to Stamford Bridge, football.london understands. The French forward has already agreed personal terms and completed a medical earlier this year and will be a part of Potter's squad for the 2023/24 season.
