Cheeky dog caught on camera repeatedly stealing teddy bears from the same shop

An adorable dog can't stop stealing teddy bears from the same shop.

The little pooch, named Thor, has been caught on security cameras repeatedly sneaking into a children's clothing store and snatching the soft toys in his mouth.

He then brazenly struts off with the stolen goods in his mouth before he chews away at it in the shop's entrance before dumping it on the step and walking away.

During the first heist, the shop assistant was distracted. When she saw the discarded teddy bear on the floor she initially thought it might belong to a friend who had come into the store.

It was only when she checked CCTV footage for the store in Coroados, Sao Paulo, that she realised who the real culprit was.

CCTV images show Thor sneakily walking behind a clothes rail where he grabs the teddy bear in his mouth. He then trots off with the "loot" in his mouth and skips past the unknowing shop owner and customer.

Now knowing who the robber was, shop owner Damaris Rodrigues did not want to get fooled again.\

He said: "Because I viewed the security footage the first time and saw it was the dog, when it came into the shop this time, I was already prepared.”

The little pup returned four days later but this time the vigilant shop owner was able to stop the dog before it left her store with another soft toy.

According to the store owner, the dog is called Thor and is always walking around the area. It is unclear if Thor has an owner or is a stray.

Damaris said that she decided to let the dog keep one of the toys, adding: “I’ve never seen anything like this and I never imagined I would find it so adorable after I went through it the first time, because it is not normal that shoplifting can be so cute!”

She added: “He is super forgiven.”
