A cheeky burglar got away with more than cash and spirits when he raided Nottingham attraction Gloryholes. Offender Samuel Slater grabbed one of the sex toys that are part of the decor at the adult-only mini golf course.
Police later recovered the item on Slater's sofa at his home in Grierson Avenue, Bestwood. The "rather large" love aid was returned to the owners in an evidence bag.
Slater, 35, also tried to get away with a 4ft Stormtrooper at the quirkily decorated 18-hole site in George Street, Hockley, that's decked out with cupcakes, a toilet with a glittery golden toilet seat and sex toys that could have come straight out of Ann Summers. CCTV revealed him trying to rip the Stormtrooper off the wall but he failed.

Gloryholes co-owner Dan Brown, who runs the business with Drew Hewitt, said: "We thought it was really funny. There was a call over the PC's radio asking if we were missing a rather large sex toy which had been found on the offender's sofa. The officer was a bit awkward about it but found it funny.
"We weren’t aware it was missing until the police discovered it on the accused’s couch."
Slater broke into the premises at 3am last month via a fire exit at the rear. Police recognised him from the CCTV and within two hours he was arrested. Half the stock and the sex toy were returned to Gloryholes less than 24 hours after the crime but the cash was never recovered.
At Nottingham Magistrates Court in December Slater pleaded guilty to burglary after stealing 135 bottles of spirit, cash and an illuminated Jack Daniels sign as well as the naughtier item. He was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £65 compensation to Gloryholes.
