Motorcycle launches tend to follow a pretty predictable formula. Press release, studio photos, perfectly color-graded riding shots, specifications, executive quotes, done. BMW Motorrad itself has certainly played that game before. But if you want an early look at what appears to be the upcoming BMW R20, apparently all you need to do is watch Markus Flasch hang out in his man cave and talk about why he likes motorcycles.
BMW Motorrad recently published an interview with its CEO covering everything from riding and racing to motorcycle culture and the future of the industry. It's part of a new video series by BMW titled "The Ones Who Ride," and quite frankly, a lot of it is familiar territory. Motorcycles represent freedom, riding clears your head, two wheels move the soul, and so on. You've probably heard some variation of all that before.
