Cheapest Edinburgh Airport September flights under £30 including Spain and Italy

With the end of summer in sight, it's a perfect time to book a holiday, as after August prices for flights drop dramatically.

If the thought of autumn rolling around in a couple of weeks is too much to bear, it is worth checking to see if there are any destinations that take your fancy.

There are a huge variety of options from Edinburgh Airport, but with the cost of living crisis continuing to worsen, many households can't afford a costly holiday.

That doesn't mean you can't jet off for some sun, however. We have compiled a list of all of the holiday hotspots that you can fly to for cheap next month.

Here is a roundup of all of the destinations you can book return flights to from Edinburgh Airport for under £30 in September. For the full list, visit Skyscanner here.

Ireland

While Ireland may not seem like much of a holiday considering its close proximity, those who are just after a weekend getaway for cheap will be pleased to hear that flights to Cork start from just £14. You can also fly to Knock, Shannon, and Dublin for £15, £22, and £23 respectively.

Latvia

For those after a holiday a little further away, Latvia is your best bet if budget comes first. With return flights to Riga starting at £15, it could make for an ideal low-cost holiday.

Budget aside, Riga has plenty to offer, such as the Riga Motormuseum, the Central Market, and the House of the Black Heads.

France

If you've always dreamed of heading to Paris, then September might be your chance to jet off and see the Eiffel Tower, as return flights from Edinburgh start at £21. You can also fly to Nimes, Poitiers, Nantes, Bordeaux, and Marseilles if you're after somewhere a little less busy.

Denmark

Return flights to the Danish cities of Billund and Copenhagan start at £21 and £25 respectively. The latter is particularly exciting, as it means you can see sights such as Tivoli Gardens, Rosenborg Castle, and the historic district of Hyhavn for a bargain price.

Italy

While there are a number of popular Italian holiday destinations to fly out to this September, the only one under £30 is Turin. Known for its architecture and cuisine, it could make for the perfect holiday if good food and beautiful sights are what you're after.

Poland

With flights to Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan, and Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki all available for less than £30, you're spoiled for choice if Poland strikes your fancy. Famous for its Market Square — complete with elegant townhouses and stunning fountain — Wroclaw is an enticing proposition.

Spain

If it's heat you're after as temperatures in the UK plummet next month, then Spain may be the first country you look to. However, the only destination you can fly to for under £30 is Santiago de Compostela. The famous pilgrimage site is the supposed burial place of the Biblical apostle St. James, and offers a more educational option for tourists — though its climate is known to be rather mild.

Sweden

You can fly to Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city, for just £28 in September. Aside from its gorgeous leafy boulevards and canals, it has a world-class craft beer scene — which is sure to appeal to some holidaymakers.

Netherlands

While the Dutch capital of Amsterdam is a bit out of budget, with return flights from Edinburgh starting at £53, you can still head to the city of Eindhoven for just £29. While you may not be familiar, it is the birthplace of Philips electronics, so the Philips Museum is a must-see.

Slovakia

The final destination you can fly to from Edinburgh this September for under £30 is Bratislava in Slovakia. The capital has plenty to see and do, including its historic Old Town, Devin Castle and Modry Kostol — a Catholic church that is covered bright blue.
