Cheap places to park around Wigan

Wigan has a bustling town centre full of the biggest high-street stores while it's also home to the popular Grand Arcade.

The borough is also becoming more attractive for shoppers and visitors after it was reported that a £190m transformation of Wigan town centre will soon be taking place.

This transformation hopes to bring more food, drink and entertainment options to visitors as development begins at the end of January.

Howard Gallimore, who runs a restaurant in the town centre, said the development is like "winning the lottery. It's excellent for the town - for the people."
