Been thinking about buying a new Echo smart speaker? Right on cue, Amazon has unveiled a trio of devices including an entry-level music maker that costs under £50. The Echo Pop is an all-new addition to Amazon's lineup with this diddy device featuring a semi-sphere design that will sit neatly on a shelf or bedside table. It comes in a number of colours including Lavender Bloom and Midnight Teal with Amazon promising that the AZ2 Neural Edge processor and custom-designed front-facing directional speaker inside should be loud enough to fill small rooms with sound.
Of course, just like all Amazon tech you can bark orders at Alexa, switch on lights, play music and set timers using voice controls. Plus there's the ability to set routines and be woken up when it's time to get out of bed.
The Pop will go on sale later this month and cost £44.99.
