Homeowners across Britain will soon have access to low and zero-interest loans for installing solar panels, heat pumps, and batteries, under a new government energy upgrades scheme. Simultaneously, vulnerable low-income and fuel-poor households will receive free insulation and clean technology upgrades, backed by £5 billion in public investment.
These measures are part of the government’s broader "warm homes plan," a £15 billion public spending programme designed to enhance energy efficiency and technology in British residences. The initiative aims to significantly reduce household energy bills, decrease reliance on fossil fuels, cut carbon emissions, and alleviate fuel poverty.
