Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is currently lying in state in London after leaving Edinburgh earlier this week.
After passing away on September 10 in Balmoral, the Queen was taken to Edinburgh where she was lying in rest in St Giles' Cathedral. Tens of thousands of people queued up to pay their respect, with many travelling from across the country.
Now her coffin is in Westminster Hall and mourners can pay their respected before the funeral on Monday September 19. For those who didn't get a chance, or want to do so again in person, may be looking for cheap last minute flights from Edinburgh to London.

Looking on Skyskanner.net, it is cheaper to fly than get the train down south with the average ticket price with easyJet coming in at £114. The flight takes off on Friday September 16 at 6.20am and then the return flight takes off from Luton at 6pm on Tuesday September 20.
Meanwhile, with British Airways, you can fly to London City Airport, on the same days as above for £224 with a flight leaving Edinburgh at 7am. The 6.50am flight to Heathrow is currently not selling any economy tickets, only business at £460. This price doesn't even include the return flight.
You can return from London City Airport on the Tuesday at 7am for £206. All these prices are only including hand baggage only.
If you'd rather take the train, Trainline warns Avanti West Coast have restricted ticket sales for the days mentioned above. The cheapest return ticket, according to Trainline from Edinburgh to Kings Cross comes in at £155.70.
While tickets are already selling out and routes have limited tickets, the cheapest time to go is the 4.30pm service from Edinburgh and returning at 10.23am on Tuesday from Kings Cross.
