You may or may not have heard of ChatGPT. The sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot has garnered attention across the globe since its release in November 2022.
Its arrival has spawned internet memes and existential questions in equal measure, with many questioning what impacts the advancing technology could have on society. For those not familiar with how ChatGPT works, essentially you can enter prompts and questions into the programme and it will generate a response.
These responses are based on patterns, knowledge, and language structures that have been acquired through training data. They are based on general knowledge up until September 2021.
