Microsoft has already revealed its plans to integrate ChatGPT into its cloud-based Office 365 software suite with Copilot, but so far there has been no mention of any AI features coming to Windows itself, until now.
According to our colleagues at Tom’s Hardware Microsoft has given the green light to one of its engineers, Simone Franco to work on a ChatGPT plugin for Microsoft Powertoys. This is quite a novel concept as Powertoys was a relic of the 1990s revived for Windows 10 and is now being connected to one of the most cutting-edge technologies of our time.
