Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel recently broke down the film of Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix’s performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.
In a 20-minute video. Daniel reviewed some of Nix’s best moments from the victory. He extensively looked at the Broncos’ first drive of the game.
“First play of the game, here we go,” Daniel says in the video. “Back shoulder (throw to) Courtland Sutton into the boundary, amazing throw.”
The first three throws of the game were shot plays, and Daniel explained how Nix was able to diagnose defensive schemes and look off defenders to make correct throws to his receivers. Nix has been praised by teammates for doing these exact things in the preseason.

Broncos coach Sean Payton has continued to emphasize that Nix needs support from his teammates and coaches to have success.
“I think all these young guys that are playing are growing,” Payton said after Wednesday’s practice in West Virginia. “They’re growing and we have too, also. These are the things… ‘What does he do well?’ ‘What does he like?’ ‘Can we do this?’ That type of thing. So that’s got to continue. Not only on [Nix’s] part, but I keep talking about everyone else around him. The players and coaches painting the right picture. Those are all important things for his success.”
Nix will aim to take another step forward against the New York Jets on Sunday. The game will be regionally televised on CBS (view the TV map). New York is considered a home favorite against Denver this week.
