The Boston Celtics will play the first contest of their slate of four preseason exhibition games ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season against the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets. The first of the four is a game against the Raps at TD Garden with an early start time to the unofficial kickoff to Boston’s next attempt at a title.

Injuries of note

For the Celtics, Danilo Gallinari (ACL), Robert Williams III (knee), and Luke Kornet (ankle) will not be available to play.

For the Hornets, Scottie Lewis (leg fracture) is a definite scratch, with Cody Martin (knee) and Gordon Hayward listed as day-to-day.
