Charlotte Crosby demands Love Island overhaul with 'normal people' like Corrie's Fiz and Tyrone

Charlotte Crosby has called for 'normal people' like Coronation Street’s Fiz and Tyrone to appear on Love Island as she demanded a show overhaul.

The 32-year-old former Geordie Shore star has said she wants to see mire diversity on the ITV dating show.

Charlotte, who is currently pregnant with her first child, insisted the programme would be far more gripping if viewers were able to watch ordinary folk like Coronation Street's Fiz and Tyrone 'genuinely fall in love with each other'.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Charlotte went on a foul-mouthed rant, demanding: “Love Island would be better if they had different kinds of people, 100 per cent the beauty standards on TV now are f**ed.

“I want to see people who are like Fiz and Tyrone on Corrie.

“I want normal people off the street who genuinely fall in love with each other. That would be so cute to watch.”

Her rant comes after she revealed she hasn't thought about giving birth because she's been "too busy worrying" about her mum Letitia Crosby, after her cancer diagnosis.

Heavily pregnant Charlotte is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Jake Ankers, also 32, and has been documenting the pregnancy for a new BBC series about motherhood.

It was during the pregnancy that the Geordie Shore alum's mother Letitia, 53, was diagnosed with breast cancer, with her having recently started undergoing treatment.

Charlotte has explained that her mum's diagnosis has affected her experience with the pregnancy, saying that the family "haven't embraced it as much as [they] could have".

Charlotte - who has recently opened up about the difficulty of her third trimester - previously announced that she is expecting a daughter, who's due to be born later this year.

Discussing the documentary, she told the Daily Mail that she will be filming "all the way" up to the arrival of the new addition to her family, teasing that it will include the birth.

She added that she's felt "really calm" about the show, with her explaining: "It's so much like a fly-on-the-wall that sometimes I don't even notice that I'm filming so I'm fine."
