Charlie's Angels's Jaclyn Smith, 76, shares bizarre secret to age-defying looks

Charlie's Angel's icon Jaclyn Smith has revealed the surprising secret behind her age-defying looks - and it's not what you'd think.

The actress, 76, has barely aged a day since she played Kelly Garrett on the popular TV series during the late 1970s.

And now Jaclyn has said she has never had Botox as she is 'afraid' of it after her husband Brad Allen, who is a surgeon, claimed it 'totally collapses the muscle'.

The star added she 'doesn't believe in fillers' and 'hasn't done any cutting' to keep her good looks - instead revealing she uses her own fat in her face.

Of shying away from Botox, Jaclyn told You Magazine : "I’m afraid of it. My husband says if you do Botox over and over, it totally collapses the muscle. You can overdo it in this town like nobody’s business. And when you get done it’s not a good look.

"I don’t believe in fillers and I haven’t done any cutting. If I put anything in my face, I use my own fat, which is hard to do."

Jaclyn said just focusing on your looks is "so superficial".

She added: "It can turn on you, it’s just so superficial. If it’s not wedded to something deeper, you’re in trouble. You’ve got to be more than what’s on your face."

Jaclyn went on to say she feels the "key to staying young" is having a "lot to be proud of" - as a grandmother, mother, wife and successful businesswoman.

Jaclyn is best known for her role as Kelly Garrett in the TV series Charlie's Angels (1976 - 1981) - which originated the popular franchise that has since included several films.

She's said to be the only female lead to have appeared in all episodes as her original co-stars - the late Farrah Fawcett and Kate Jackson - both departed the series during its run.

The series later spawned the films Charlie's Angels (2000) and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) - starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu in the titular roles.

More recently, a third film - with Ella Balinska, Naomi Scott and Kristen Stewart as the leads - was released in 2019.

A short-lived remake of the TV series aired in 2011, with Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor in lead roles. It was cancelled prior to the conclusion of its first series.
