Charlie Jones believes Purdue offense will translate well to NFL

The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Charlie Jones, a wide receiver out of Purdue, with their fourth-round pick in April.

Jones met with the media Friday and said that he believes the offense the Boilermakers ran when he played there will translate well to a successful transition into his time with the Bengals since it was a pro-style offense.

“It’s definitely something I was seeking to be in and I think it carries over pretty well to the NFL,” Jones said.

Mohammed Ahmad of cleveland.com also reported that Jones said his new QB Joe Burrow reached out to him after he was drafted, so they have talked, but they have not formally met in person yet.

With still a few more months left of the offseason, the two new teammates will have plenty of time to get acquainted before the season begins.
