Daredevil: Born Again is bringing back Charlie Cox as blind lawyer-turned-vigilante Matt Murdock, following the cancellation of the Netflix 'Daredevil' series. The show continues Murdock's dual life as an attorney helping the underprivileged by day and fighting crime with his enhanced senses by night.
Fans campaigned to #SaveDaredevil after Netflix ended the series in 2018. Marvel regained the rights to Daredevil and other 'The Defenders' characters in 2022, leading to Cox's cameo in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' and 'She-Hulk.'
The first trailer for 'Daredevil: Born Again' was shown at the D23 fan conference in 2024, revealing the inclusion of the serial killer Muse from the comics. Muse's ability to manipulate sensory information poses a significant challenge to Daredevil.
Leaked photos of Cox in his new Daredevil costume and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye confirm their return for the series. Jon Bernthal will also reprise his role as The Punisher, adding to the anticipation of renewed conflicts.
'Daredevil: Born Again' is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025 with a condensed season of 9 episodes, down from the original 18. Returning cast members include Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Bernthal, and Vincent D'Onofrio, ensuring continuity with the Netflix series.
The cast also features Ayelet Zurer as Kingpin's wife, Vanessa Fisk, Margarita Levieva as Murdock's love interest, Heather Glenn, and Kamar de los Reyes as vigilante White Tiger.
