Charlie Adam is not surprised to see the likes of former Blackpool team-mate having success at Bolton Wanderers after the heights the Seasiders team he was a part of reached.
Adam and Wanderers boss Evatt were team-mates at Bloomfield Road. Adam scored 35 goals in 98 games for the Seasiders between 2009 and 2011 and during that time under Ian Holloway, he helped Blackpool win promotion to the top flight and played in the Premier League.
At the end of the 2010/11 season, Adam moved to Liverpool for a fee of around £7m after Blackpool were relegated from the top flight. After that he moved on to Stoke City, Reading and Dundee and was released by the latter over the summer before recently hanging up his boots and embarking upon a coaching career at Burnley's under-21s.

Many of Adam's team-mates from that time have gone on into coaching and management positions. As well as Evatt, Rob Edwards, Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Stephen Crainey and Keith Southern have made the moves.
And Adam believes the journey that team went on and the kind of characters it cultivated had prepared them well for coaching and management. He hopes the success achieved by the likes of Evatt can be continued.
Adam told the Blackpool Gazette : “I just think that was the journey we went on and the type of people we were. We were hungry to be successful and we had that drive to be the best we could be and that’s managed to be at the forefront of the lads getting coaching positions and into management.
“Everyone has taken different pathways and journeys, which is great as well. Everyone is learning and leaning on each other for different experiences.
“But the lads who are actually in full-time positions in management, they’ve done brilliant in their relatively short-term careers. That’s great for them and hopefully they can continue that over their careers.”
