President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Charles Kushner, father of Jared Kushner, will be the next US ambassador to France. Trump praised Kushner as a successful business leader, philanthropist, and dealmaker with extensive experience in the real estate industry.
Charles Kushner is the Founder & Chairman of Kushner Companies, a prominent privately held real estate firm in the United States. He has been recognized as the New Jersey Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and has served on various prestigious boards, including the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
In addition to his business achievements, Kushner has a background in public service, having previously been appointed as a Commissioner and Chairman of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. He has also been involved with top institutions such as NYU.
It is worth noting that Charles Kushner was pardoned by President Trump in 2020 after serving a prison sentence following a conviction on federal charges.
