- City of London Police revealed that Choudhury, who described himself as borderline broke prior to the theft, used the money to fund his wedding and honeymoon, clear personal debts, buy flights to Qatar, and purchase luxury items including a £14,000 ring.
- Police arrested Choudhury in June last year following an investigation, with his bank freezing his account to recover £42,866 after detecting suspicious activity.
- Breast Cancer Now confirmed that a thorough review of internal procedures was conducted and all funds have since been recovered, ensuring the charity suffered no overall financial loss.
