A West Australian government employee who allegedly accepted bribes in exchange for lucrative contracts has been charged.
The 62-year-old is accused of 31 offences, a police spokesman said on Friday.
It's alleged he received $122,500 in bribes between 2014 and 2020, while employed by the Department of Communities.
A 68-year-old man was charged in December with 31 counts of bribery of a public officer and one count of gaining benefit by fraud.
Police say he transferred more than $120,000 to a department employee between 2014 and 2020.
During this time, the man, who was employed as a contractor, was allegedly awarded more than $1.1 million in contracts by the employee.
The charges were laid as part of an ongoing investigation into corruption and fraud involving contractors and employees at the department.
Investigations into the involvement of other parties continue.
The 62-year-old is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on February 9.
