Chaos unfolds on Love Island as second star quits show before even entering the villa

Popular ITV2 show Love Island has reportedly lost a second star of the season, just days after Liam Llewelly decided to call it quits.

Fresh from his Masters, Liam decided to leave the villa just days after appearing on the show - and now, Zach Hartman, who was supposed to land on Love Island this week, has withdrawn his consent to participate.

Zach's arrival was set to be an absolute bombshell for viewers across the country, but the model has admitted that he wants to instead focus on his career for the time being.

Liam sent shockwaves through the villa when he announced he would be leaving the show, admitting he just wasn't being himself during the programme - and that meant it would be impossible for him to find love.

Speaking to his fellow Islanders, he said: "Obviously we all came here for the same sort of reason, but I haven't been giving 100 per cent Liam. I know what 100 per cent Liam is and I'm miles off that.

"Trying to find someone you leave the villa with that you love, that's the goal. But when you're not feeling that, it makes it a very hard sort of time to find that. I've been thinking long and hard, it isn't spur of the moment, so I've made a decision to leave the villa."

Liam had previously explained how rejection would be the worse thing he would have to deal with on the show.

"Something I am most nervous about is probably the feeling of not being wanted in a recoupling or something, not being picked," he had said about his time on the ITV2 show.

And The Mirror reports that Zach - who bosses were hoping would enter the villa this week as a shock showing - has decided against flying out.

According to The Sun, he said: "I was meant to be going on Love Island this year and flying out this week. After long conversations with my family and thinking about what I wanted out of my career, I decided against it."

He also made a savage dig at the other men in the villa.

"Would’ve been an easy year to wins seeing as none of the guys have any game on there. But I’ve got to do what’s best for me."

It comes after ITV2 announced the arrival of two new males in the form of Jay Younger, a 28-year-old Investment Analyst from Edinburgh and 22-year-old model Remi Lambert, who hails from Manchester.
